Are you quite sure Italian wines only come from
Piedmont and Tuscany? Do you believe that, oenologically speaking,
the South of Italy begins and ends with Sicily? In this case, Vigneti
di Puglia - Apulian Vineyards will help you change your mind.
The region of Apulia is no longer, as it was once considered by
many, the "cellar of Europe" - that is, a reserve - some
8 million hectolitres, amounting to 15% of the Italian production
- of full-bodied wines that could be used to strengthen the frail
constitution of noble wines from other regions. This is no longer
true. A great deal of patient work on the part of all the operators
of the wine production chain has gone into turning Apulia into one
of the most interesting Italian regions from an oenological viewpoint,
into a reference point in Italian organic production and definitely
into an area in which the growth in quality is most evident.
Vigneti di Puglia - Apulian Vineyards aims to extract the
best of the entire operation and bring organic Apulian wines to
the markets of the world. With this goal in mind, we have selected
and will continue to select - in Apulia's various wine zones, with
regard to the three major Apulian native vines, Nero di Troia, Primitivo
and Negroamaro -organic producers who are able to offer great value
for money.
We started off with Northern Apulia, the land of Frederick II of
Swabia and of Nero di Troia wine, and will soon go on to Central
Apulia and the Centre-South - Murgia, Valle d'Itria and Messapia
- where Primitivo di Gioia del Colle and Primitivo di Manduria are
made, ending with the Salento area and the local Negroamaro.
Vigneti di Puglia - Apulian Vineyards: a brand and a region,
in all its colours, fragrances and flavours.
